I purchased this bus in January 2011, it was to be the beginning of a dream that I have had for many years. This great bus was a school bus up until December last year and finally went up for sale. We purchased the bus and I went ahead and had curb side under bins put in, and a generator enclosure on the driver's side rear, a couple of windows have been replaced with sheeting and all but two of the seats have been taken out. The rest of the seats are packed neatly in the rear of the bus. We also had the bus completely altered, panel beated and resprayed in Adelaide. I drove the bus from Adelaide to the Kimberley in Western Australia over Easter 2011 and it didn't miss a beat. To me this bus just purrs along the road between 90 to 100kms and is a great pleasure to drive. Unfortunately an ongoing health problem that I thought I had beaten came back and bit me in early June and it has now changed my life forever. The dream I had of travelling around Australia in a modest by comfortable mobile home have now been dashed. If you feel that you can continue this dream in your own way this is the bus for you. |
